High School Coding Camp at CU Denver

resized_image16Coding camp designed specifically for high school students! Providing 1-to-1 computers hands-on instruction in JavaScript, Python, Robot C, and/or Arduino line coding. Students will complete a project of a robotics challenge, will learn to code in different languages using real-world concepts of backup, debugging, testing, and application. Multiple robot models to be used: from VEX, mBot, Finch, and more TBA.

As students’ interest is determined, additional project work may be completed of building circuits, apps or video games, utilizing the same languages.

This camp will introduce the beginning coder to the language syntax, coding methods, as well as provide room for growth for students that accelerate their skills during the week.

  • 1 Week, June 3-7, 2019, 9 am-4 pm, maximum of 15 students
  • Lunch break daily, students can bring a sack lunch or money for an in-building grill or Chipotle across the street on campus.
  • Camp includes a campus tour, presentation by University staff of degree programs, and CU Engineering student project presentation.
  • All classes will be held in the Computer Lab, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, 1200 Larimer St.
  • Curbside drop off area & metered parking available at back of Engineering building
