June 29-July 3 Camp Content:
CodeSpire – Robotics:
Students learn about robots, how they work and communicate, code them with bar codes, and blockly style software to manage customized motion, avoiding obstacles, following lines, performing additional movement, and have fun! Optional Supplies fee: $40 for robot to use during classes and keep. No loaner robots are available for checkout at this time.
JB Sports – Camp 3- Total Sports:
This camp focuses on teaching different sports each day. Every child will receive their own piece of equipment to practice their skills. Our highly-educated coaches will teach the fundamentals of a particular sport while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship. Some of the sports taught during this camp are basketball, football, lacrosse, tennis, volleyball, cross country running, track and field, golf, hockey, baseball/softball, handball, and badminton. Why focus on just one sport when you can learn them all with this one-stop camp!
Play On!– Performing Arts:
We’ll explore the performing arts this summer through acting, movement, and more! Activities will vary each week.
Science Matters– Build and Discover Camp:
In our camp, young scientists will explore with us for 1 hour each week. We will put our skills to the test as we build and create! Using the power of physics and engineering we will make machines that can dive, fly, cook, launch, and see the stars!
Young Rembrandts– Pacific Northwest Imagery:
Jump into July with a Young Rembrandts drawing class. During this month, we’ll create eye-catching imagery of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. This wonderful region provides a scenic backdrop for us to draw inspiration from. We’ll imagine a trek through the lush forests and we’ll also draw detailed illustrations of the area’s wildlife. By entering the camp’s Zoom meeting room, I consent to my child joining a video conference. I understand that by participating in this conference, my child may be visible to other students and their families and I waive my privacy interests in relation to such incidental observation. To the extent permitting by law and knowing the risk of this activity, I hereby release, waive, forever discharge, and agree to hold harmless all participating STEAM-tacular organizations, their officers, agents and employees from any liability whatsoever arising out of my child’s participation in STEAM-tacular activities, including but not limited to, medical bills, court costs and attorney’s fees, any damage to my property or the property of others through my child’s participation in the camp. For virtual classes, I (the caretaker) assume full responsibility for providing a clear and safe space for my child to participate in live or recorded classes.
